SUMMER SCHOOL : 2010
Dear Friend in Homoeopathy,
Once again the Summer School was a success.
Delegates commented that “it was the best yet”, “hard work but I learnt so
much”; “wonderful opportunity of refreshing classical methodologies and
its wonderful action in this drug-dependant world”!
“Particularly enjoyed the clinics”.
Dr. Subrata K. Banerjea is pleased to announce the Ninth Summer School for
2010, which is becoming a part of the establishment.
Location:
The "Summer School" will take place in Great Baddow, close to Chelmsford
in Essex. London is approximately 30 miles away, and the seaside 25 miles,
both are accessible by train
from Chelmsford.
Aims:
* TO DEVELOP YOUR MATERIA MEDICA.
* TO GRASP THE MEDICINE PICTURE THROUGH A FEW
KEY-EXPRESSIONS (e.g. retention for Nat.Mur; Anchor for Pulsatilla;
Principle for Kali Carb; Unfulfilled for Tuberculinum) AND MIASMATICS OF
MEDICINES
(Rapid miasmatic diagnosis and remedy diagnosis through appearance,
gesture, posture and behaviours)
* TO COMPARE RELATED MEDICINES INSTANTLY
* TO BE A CONFIDENT PRESCRIBER WITH TIME TESTED, CENTURY
OLD SCIENTIFIC APPROACH OF COMBINING MIASMS, TOTALITY & ESSENCE WITH SOUND
KNOWLEDGE IN MATERIA MEDICA;
PRACTICAL REINFORCEMENT OF
CLASSICAL HAHNEMANNIAN-KENTIAN APPROACH: CONSISTENT & REPEATEDLY VERIFIED,
EVEN IN THE DRUG DEPENDENT CASES, SEE HOW IT WORKS!
(Guarantees confidence in Materia Medica as the medicines are presented
through personification, pictures of faces, gestures etc and extensive
comparison with related medicines)
* OBSERVE RAPID & PERMANENT RELIEF OF
CURABLE PATHOLOGY: LIVE CASES IN TEACHING CLINIC OF ESSEX (U.K) OR INDIA:
FAST RESULTS EVEN IN DRUG DEPENDANT CASES
By the end of this intensive programme, participants
will have: A thorough comprehension of some of the subtle and finer
points required in clinical practice; Confidence in their grasp of the
essence of remedies including visual representation of Personality
Profiles; Knowledge of the application of the Organon in Clinical
practice; Confidence in Effective Case Taking and
insight into specialist area.
Extensive lecture notes for all topics will be provided.
The programme aims to close the gap between theory and practice and
guarantees student’s the use of miasmatic knowledge and the confident use
of Materia Medica and the Organon in everyday practice.
This is a programme suitable for U.K and overseas students
and homoeopaths for an intensive exposure of Clinical
Homoeopathy and Comparative Materia Medica.
Subjects:
· (A) HOMOEOPATHIC TRAVEL KITS:
Discussion with justification of the best medicines to pack for (i) Cruise
holidays; (ii) Exotic (India; China) holidays; (iii) Mediterranean
(sea-side) holidays; (iv) Mountain biking and trekking holidays; (v)
School children camping excursion holidays; (vi) Skiing holidays; (vii)
Wild-life (African) safari holidays.
(B) PACE, DEPTH AND MAGNITUDE OF 50 TOP
POLYCHREST MEDICINES:
Understand the speed of symptom development (e.g.Gelsemium’s insidious
pace to match with the slow progressing diseases);conception of deep &
short acting medicines (e.g why Natrum Mur should not be given for acute
coryza); sphere of actions (magnitude) and weakest links of polychrests
will be discussed.
(C) RELATIONSHIPS AND CHAINS OF POLYCHREST
MEDICINES:
Develop your skills regarding remedy relationships e.g. medicines that
follow each other well and completes the case with importance of chain of
medicines for example in Arthritis: Rhus Tox -> Calcarea Carb/ Fluor -> Thuja/Medorrhinum
-> Radium Br. In Colitis: Sulphur
-> Calcarea Carb -> Lycopodium. Special emphasis will be given on chain of polychrests in the
common therapeutic areas.
(D) DEMONSTRATION OF RAPID CLASSICAL PRESCRIBING
(Esp. ACUTE CONDITIONS) AS PRACTISED IN CALCUTTA SLUM CLINICS:
In this session participants will be encouraged to volunteer imaginary
acute symptoms. Demonstration of rapid case taking, comparative Materia
Medica and quick remedy diagnosis will be the aim. Enhance your ability to
differentiate between remedies quickly and effectively.
(E) DEVELOP YOUR MATERIA MEDICA THROUGH PATHOLOGY
PICTURES:
In this session, we view different illustrative pictures of pathology to
broaden your ability to see miasmatically and also recognise your
medicines, e.g. (i) Appearance; (ii) Boils; (iii) Dropsy; (iv) Face; (v)
Gait; (vi) Haemorrhoids; (vii) Joint swelling; (viii) Nail; (ix)
Phlebitis; (x) Tongue; (xi) Tonsils; (xii) Tumours; (xiii) Ulceration.
Comparative Materia Medica of relative medicines will be discussed.
(F) LIVE CASE DISCUSSION AT ALLEN TEACHING CLINIC
An opportunity to observe live cases, together with discussion of
medicines given, potency and repetition, second prescription and Wait &
Watch technique after the prescription.
(G) HIDDEN TREASURES OF THE ORGANON OF MEDICINE
AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION IN MODERN CLASSICAL PRESCRIBING:
In 2010, we celebrate the 200th year of the first edition of
the Organon! Discussion of Aphorisms of practical importance in relation
to classical and rapid prescribing, as well as their implementation in our
present drug-dependent world.
(H) DERMATOLOGY AND POLYCHREST MEDICINES:
Different skin problems presented through pictures (i) Abscess; (ii) Acne;
(iii) Corns and Callositis; (iv) Eczema; (v) Psoriasis; (vi) Urticaria;
(vii) Warts. Discussion to develop your “look and diagnose” technique,
together with miasm and to enhance common polychrest differentiation.
(I) CASE ANALYSIS AND DISSECTION OF “YOUR”
PROBLEM CASES:
In this session you are welcome to send one or two of your problem cases.
Dr. Banerjea will choose a few cases from the participants and discuss the
salient aspects of the case to be emphasized, how to diagnose the surface
miasm; a quick comparative Materia Medica of related medicines to
determine a final remedy exploring the nuances of Materia Medica. Cases
will be dissected to reflect the methodology; symptoms on which emphasis
should have been given and how to achieve the Miasmatic Diagnosis quickly,
thereby relating the importance of M-TEK (Miasmatic Totality, Totality of
Symptoms, Essence and Keynotes) and the best potency for such condition.
